Role purposeThe Clinical Chair, NSW Prevocational Education and Training Council (PvTC) provides clinical leadership to the education and training of prevocational trainees in NSW and offers expert advice to HETI to facilitate the delivery of networked prevocational education and training. The PvTC Council is the state-level governance body overseeing prevocational education and training in NSW.
HETI is a public health organisation established in 2012 to oversee training and workforce development within the NSW Health Service. HETI is accredited by the Australian Medical Council (AMC) as the NSW organisation overseeing prevocational education and training.
Where you'll be workingThe role is based in Sydney at 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards in a modern, purpose-built campus with agile workspaces and up-to-date technology. There is onsite parking, an onsite cafe, and a 100-space childcare centre. Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership to prevocational education and training in NSW.
- Advise HETI to facilitate efficient and effective delivery of networked prevocational education and training.
- Recognised specialist qualifications with evidence of a strong commitment to improving the education and training of prevocational trainees.
- Capacity to fulfil the duties of this role within your employment; employer approval and support may be required with your application.
- Proven leadership and facilitation skills; ability to engage with stakeholders and provide strategic-level policy advice and program coordination.
- Proven ability to impact training outcomes, advocate for junior medical staff, manage difficult issues, and apply high-level problem solving and analytic skills.
- Understanding of the NSW and Australian health system as a training environment and ability to achieve outcomes within it.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and persuade key stakeholders.
