Due to an internal promotion, QSL is seeking to appoint a Terminal Supervisor, responsible for leading and developing a multidisciplinary team of tradespeople and operators at QSL's Mackay Bulk Sugar Terminal. You will be involved in asset management activities, including various maintenance and capital projects, while maintaining production KPIs within a collaborative and diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.

Reporting to the Terminal Manager, key deliverables include;
  • Leading and developing the team for optimal operational outcomes and performance
  • Effective scheduling and planning tasks, and contractor management
  • Problem-solving, budgeting, data analysis and reporting
  • Manage and drive key projects across the terminal
  • Maintaining and improving on HSE, production and maintenance KPI's
  • Building key internal and external relationships to deliver value and meet targets
  • Maintaining and enhancing QSL's safety culture and compliance through leading by example, ensuring the health and well-being of all team members, contractors and visitors.

To be considered for this busy and varied position, you will have;
  • A proven electrical trade background with good knowledge of maintenance and asset management systems and processes
  • A QLD electrical license will be required.
  • Leadership and team development experience in a similar role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to engage and influence a range of key stakeholders
  • Prior job scheduling and planning experience
  • High emotional intelligence and be a self-starter
  • Resilience and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A passion for continuous improvement in Health, Safety and Environment
  • A current driver's license.
