Salary: $76,000 to $80,000

Position Type: Full Time

Responsibilities
  • Lay tiles as per customer order/specifications, patterns, layouts
  • Prepare job site by measuring, marking out the area, and arranging the tiles in patterns as per work order
  • Apply the required amount of adhesive to prepared areas and tiles to ensure proper bonding
  • Apply grout accurately to secure tiles in place
  • Cut tiles to the needed sizes and shapes using relevant tools
  • Work with different types of tiles such as travertine, porcelain, limestone, ceramic, mosaic
  • Clean, prep and prime walls and floors, including removing old tiles, grout, and adhesive, filling holes or cracks for a smooth base, and perform general cleaning
  • Pay attention to detail to ensure tiles are spaced evenly
  • Install waterproofing systems on designated surfaces (if required)
Qualifications
  • Certificate IV in Wall and Floor Tiling, or Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling with on-the-job training or 2 years post-qualification experience
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a skilled Wall and Floor Tiler
  • Good practical skills
  • Ability to follow design plans
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
