Responsibilities
  • Be the welcoming voice of the organisation by delivering exceptional customer service when responding to external and internal telephone enquiries with professionalism, warmth and efficiency.
  • Assist with managing patient data for admissions, bed transfers and discharges using hospital administration systems (PAS) in accordance with NSW Health and NBMLHD guidelines.
  • Contribute to a fast-paced, accurate handling of information to support hospital operations and patient care.
What You Will Bring To The Role
  • The ability to work constructively, cooperatively and efficiently with both internal and external clients.
  • A high level of keyboard, PC, database and general clerical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated high level of organisational skills with the ability to meet tight timeframes and prioritise workload.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, nights, public holidays and weekends.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with experience working in a networked PC environment.
  • Previous experience in a similar hospital or health facility-based position.
  • Switchboard and reception experience for a large organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability in the use of tact, diplomacy, confidentiality and discretion.
