In this role, you will:

• Be familiar with the relevant workpacks, drawings, weld maps and weld procedures for allocated.
• Verify welders, weld equipment, weld consumables, and weld procedures are current and correct for task
• Monitor welding parameters and conduct visual inspections, prior to, during, and post welding
• Conduct visual testing of weld area preparation, welding and on completed welds
• Advise of non-conformances as early as possible
• Complete daily progress reporting as required
• Ensure weld repair procedures are followed as required
• Provide professional advice as required, both written and verbal
• Demonstrate a willingness and capability to perform other duties as deemed appropriate and consistent with your professional qualifications, skill or experience.
• Witness when required weld procedure qualification & welder qualification testing.

To be considered for the role, you will hold the following skills and experience:

• Welding Inspector (WTIA Certified Welding Inspector, WTIA Certified Senior Welding Inspector, CSWIP Level 3.1 Welding Inspector, AWS Certified Welding Inspector, IIW International Welding Inspector – Standard IWI-S)
• Experience with Structural welding AWS D1.1 would help but not essential
• Strong technical skills and experience, preference for experience within offshore oil & gas industry
• Functional use of Microsoft Office applications
• Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal
• Positive attitude with a focus on problem solving
• Ability to work harmoniously in close confines
