Do you want to be a part of a team that promotes and improves the health of its people and community? We are seeking suitable applications for a highly capable and values-driven Clinical Nurse to join our dynamic team at Butler Community Adult Mental Health.

This is for a Permanent Full Time / Part Time or Fixed Term Full Time / Part Time appointment. A Fixed Term appointment will be made with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

What is our Clinical Nurse role?

This position functions as a case manager in a multidisciplinary team; is responsible for the clinical management of consumers and families/carers in nominated areas; provides consultation to staff, consumers, families/carers, and other services; is responsible for assessment of consumers in collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Specialist as necessary.

The Mental Health and Dental Health Services (MHDHS) Community Adult Mental Health Stream provides evidence based, specialised mental health services supported by strategic planning. The service is committed to working alongside service providers, consumers and carer stakeholders, to promote optimal mental health for those referred to our service.

Area Profile

NMHS provides timely access to high quality health care, embracing acknowledged best practice to deliver improved clinical outcomes in the face of rising challenges for all healthcare providers. The NMHS comprises a mix of tertiary, specialist and generalist hospitals. Our north metropolitan catchment area covers almost 1000 square kilometres. NMHS contains Western Australia's largest Mental Health Service caring for youths, adults and older adults. Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar" vacancies throughout the health service. Both of these options remain valid for a period of twelve (12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the recruitment decision.
