Overview

Bethanie is a leading not-for-profit aged care provider based in Western Australia. For nearly 70 years, we have been empowering ageing Australians to lead their most meaningful lives by recognising “old age” as a positive force in society and giving a voice to those who have seen it all and live to tell the tale.

We are currently seeking Enrolled Nurses to provide care and support to our residents at Bethanie Beachside Aged Care Home, located in Yanchep. Co-located with a retirement village, Bethanie Beachside is one of our larger sites with 160 beds and provides specialised high level acuity, dementia and palliative care.

Role and roster

Position: Enrolled Nurse (permanent part time)

Shifts and hours:

Night shifts, 61.25 hours per fortnight

Week 1: Monday, Thursday, Sunday night 10pm - 7.15am

Week 2: Monday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday night 10pm - 7.15am

Afternoon shifts, 52 hours per fortnight

Week 1: Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 3pm - 10pm

Week 2: Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 3pm - 10pm

Morning shifts, 45 hours per fortnight

Week 1: Thursday, Friday, Saturday 7am - 3pm

Week 2: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7am - 3pm

About you

- Currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse
- Previous experience in an aged care environment or with dementia care is an advantage, but is not essential
- Ability to work independently and professionally
- Ability to motivate staff and promote a positive work environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to confidently use clinical information systems
- Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group
- Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to apply for one)

The role

- Carrying out personal care plans in consultation with and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Consulting with a Registered Nurse in planning care on an shift basis
- Assisting in assessing residents and ensuring all documentation is up to date and in accordance with company requirements
- Contributing to the physical, emotional and lifestyle needs and wants of residents
- Communicating effectively with a variety of stakeholders and contributing to teamwork within the workplace
- Participating in ongoing learning and development, both individually and as part of a larger team
