We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Hotel Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of The Valern Hotel, a key venue in our group.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team to deliver exceptional service and driving business growth while fostering a sense of community among patrons.

A high level of financial acumen is required, with experience in managing budgets and controlling costs. Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate a team to achieve outstanding results are essential.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in an operational senior management role within hospitality or a related industry, with a strong understanding of gaming operations and relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations of gaming rooms, bistro, and accommodation
  • Supervise and support staff during shifts across the property
  • Manage and maintain staff rosters to ensure seamless operations
  • Assist with cost control measures to drive profitability
  • Handle escalated customer inquiries and ensure exceptional service standards
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and gaming regulations
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in an operational senior management role within hospitality or a related industry
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in managing budgets and controlling costs
  • Passion for customer service and a track record of leading high-performing teams
  • Well-rounded knowledge of gaming operations and a strong understanding of relevant hospitality regulations
  • Availability and flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
  • Current Tasmanian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG) Certificates
