Overview

Environmental Services Assistant at Ramsay Health Care – Ramsay Clinic Wentworthville. This role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness across hospital areas and supporting the catering team for meal preparation and delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness to all areas, including wards and operating theatres.
  • Ensure all equipment used on shifts is cleaned, restocked and stored appropriately.
  • Work in a friendly and supportive manner at all times.
  • Maintain communication with nursing staff and other stakeholders to support quality clinical outcomes.
  • Set patient meal trays and serve patients while maintaining hygienic food practices.
  • Wash up and maintain a clean working area in line with safety practices.
  • Assist the broader team as required.
  • Stock management.
  • Availability across a 7-day roster, including morning (05:30 am starts) and afternoon (8:00 pm finishes) shifts.
Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience in a kitchen or hospital environment is not essential, but desirable.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus.
  • Compliance with HACCP, Food Safety, Workplace Health and Safety, and Infection Control.
  • Certificate II or Certificate III in Hospitality (desirable).
  • Experience in cleaning services.
  • Team player and able to work within a large team.
  • Attention to detail and pride in your work.

Requirements
  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
  • Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, depending on the role.
