We're looking for experienced Data Engineering Leads to drive delivery, innovation and performance of teams within the Data Engineering function. You'll lead a team of skilled engineers to deliver robust, high-quality solutions that fuel smarter business outcomes.

As leaders, you'll guide strategic roadmap execution, champion data best practices, and build collaborative relationships across technology and business teams. From coaching to coding, architecture to Agile—this role is equal parts leadership and hands-on impact.

What will your key responsibilities include?

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing data engineering team
  • Deliver scalable, resilient data solutions aligned to the strategic roadmap
  • Champion Agile delivery, DevSecOps, CICD and data engineering excellence
  • Manage code releases, stakeholder communications, and day-to-day operations
  • Build deep understanding of business processes and data needs
  • Guide incident resolution and platform reliability improvements
  • Shape the future of our data platforms through strategic input and team engagement

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience delivering data platform solutions, ideally in financial services
  • Strong technical leadership in medium-sized organisations, including managing projects and code releases
  • Deep understanding of data warehousing methodologies (Kimball, Data Vault) and data architecture principles
  • Hands-on experience with Agile software delivery frameworks and tools like JIRA and Confluence
  • Skilled in cloud technologies, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and documentation of technical systems
