Job Overview

This graduate engineering role involves building services design for data centers, including hyperscale facilities and cutting-edge colocation projects. In this position, you will be responsible for creating detailed designs, calculations, specifications, and technical reports using specialist design software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing comprehensive designs that meet industry standards and regulations.
  • Ensure all designs are safe and sustainable throughout the building lifecycle through Health & Safety training and awareness.
  • Conduct thorough site inspections to ensure compliance with design standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and apply insights to real-world projects through continuous research and innovation.
  • Collaborate effectively with senior engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
  • Participate actively in meetings and contribute meaningfully to project documentation.
Requirements
  • Minimum requirement of BSc/BEng (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Working towards Chartered Engineer status, demonstrating a strong commitment to professional development.
  • Basic knowledge of CAD and engineering software is essential for success in this role.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety legislation and regulations is crucial for ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office, spreadsheets, and calculations, are necessary for effective communication and data analysis.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines is critical for delivering projects on schedule.
