About the Role

We are seeking a Protection Engineer who can work both on-site and in the office. The role offers a flexible split between Perth-based/hybrid and on-site work, including ad hoc travel to various sites/clients for testing High Voltage assets and commissioning activities. An onsite work uplift is available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work safely and in accordance with procedures, policies, and permits.
  • Execute primary testing on HV assets.
  • Perform secondary testing on protection relays, control, and communication systems.
  • Complete FAT and SAT testing.
  • Liaise with clients, providing technical advice and recommendations.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve faults in HV systems.
    • Develop testing and commissioning plans.
    • Create technical reports and other client deliverables.
    • Manage QA/QC processes.
    • Support major projects with engineering and commissioning activities.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in testing and commissioning of distribution and transmission voltage levels.
  • Proficiency with Omicron, Doble, and Megger test equipment.
  • Good communication skills, confident in client-facing roles, and able to work independently.
  • Trade qualification is advantageous.
