About the Role

We are seeking a Protection Engineer who would be flexible to work on site as well as in the office.

This is a flexible role with an equal split of Perth based / Hybrid and Onsite work. The role will require ad hoc travel to a variety of sites / clients for testing High Voltage assets and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

When on site :

  • Work safely and in accordance with procedures, policies and permits.
  • Execute Primary testing on HV Assets.
  • Perform Secondary testing on protection relays, control & communication systems.
  • Complete FAT and SAT testing.
  • Liaise with clients and provide technical advice and recommendations.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve faults in HV systems.

When in Perth :

Develop testing and commissioning plans.Develop technical reports and other client deliverables.QA / QC management.Assist in estimating.Support major projects with engineering and commissioning activities.

About You

Electrical Engineering Degree.Experienced in testing and commissioning of Distribution and Transmission voltage levels.Competent in the suite of Omicron, Doble and Megger Test Equipment.Good communicator who is confident to be client-facing and able to work independently.Trade qualification advantageous.
