Ward 5D is a 28-bed General Medicine and Rehabilitation ward currently operating from the brand-new Maitland Hospital while John Hunter Hospital undergoes upgrades. Our team is close-knit, collaborative, and supportive, with a culture of open communication, respect, and teamwork. Many of our senior nurses provide mentorship and guidance, making Ward 5D a place for learning, growth, and career progression.
About the RoleA typical day on Ward 5D is diverse, rewarding, and team-focused. You'll work closely with nurses, doctors, and allied health staff to provide high-quality care for patients on their recovery and rehabilitation journeys. As an Enrolled Nurse here, you'll have the opportunity to build rapport with patients, support them throughout their admissions, and see the impact of your care as they progress.
