Davidson is partnering exclusively with a leading provider undergoing a large-scale digital transformation. As part of this journey, they are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant to join their team.

This role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact financial systems transformation work, with a strong focus on integration between Dynamics 365 Finance and CE. The position is based in Sydney or Melbourne, with remote work from other Australian locations considered for the right candidate. You must have full Australian working rights to apply.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the design, configuration, and optimisation of Dynamics 365 Finance modules, while also playing a critical role in systems integration and data mapping between Finance and Customer Engagement (CE). This is a hands-on role, working closely with stakeholders across finance, operations, and technology teams.

In the first 3-4 months, you will lead the development of detailed technical specifications and field-level mapping for a third-party delivery vendor to build and deliver. This role requires configuration only-not custom coding.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering end-to-end Dynamics 365 Finance implementations across core modules (e.g., GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Budgeting)
• Performing data analysis and mapping between D365 Finance and CE to support seamless integrations
• Writing detailed technical specifications and field-level mapping documentation for vendor delivery teams
• Configuring D365 Finance to align with financial operations and compliance needs
• Supporting UAT, training, deployment and post-implementation enhancement activities
  
  

About You

You'll bring a strong background in finance systems and a sharp eye for data, detail, and solution integrity-particularly where integration across systems is key.

To be successful, you will have:

• Proven experience as a Functional Consultant with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance
• Strong data analysis skills and experience with field-level mapping for systems integration
• Ability to write clear, detailed technical specifications for vendor-led development
• Confidence in configuring Finance modules (without customisation or coding)
• Sound knowledge of financial operations and ERP transformation delivery

Microsoft certifications (e.g., MB-310) and previous work with CE integrations will be highly regarded.
