Job Description

The primary objective of this role is to execute strategic account plans, driving sales and category growth while managing trade spend. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in customer management and prior experience in category and revenue growth fundamentals to work collaboratively with internal teams to drive commercial performance and deliver customer targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with key contacts. Conduct regular business reviews to assess performance, discuss opportunities, and ensure alignment with strategic goals. Drive customer satisfaction through effective problem resolution and exceptional service delivery.
  • Sales Support and Performance Management: Develop and implement account-specific strategies to achieve revenue, spend, and profit targets. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align account plans with broader business objectives. Utilize data analytics to monitor performance, forecast trends, and optimize sales.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Brand, Category, and Marketing teams to ensure that product offerings meet customer needs and market trends to deliver a compelling story at range reviews. Coordinate with supply chain and ISP teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Market Intelligence and Reporting: Gather and analyze market data to support the identification of trends, competitive insights, and customer needs. Ensure these are well represented in the forward forecast. Provide regular reports on account performance, market conditions, and sales forecasts. Recommend adjustments to strategies and tactics based on insights and performance metrics.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in sales, account management, or a related sales role within the FMCG industry.
  • Some experience or familiarity with managing major retail accounts is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including building relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work as an effective member of a diverse team, as well as the ability to exercise independence, sound judgment, and initiative.
  • Experience in S&OP cycle, including promotional forecasting and returns.
  • A keen eye for continuous improvement and the willingness to adapt as required.
