This position works as part of a whole of government response to disasters and includes:
- Work collaboratively with existing health services, regional hospitals, and emergency services agencies in the fire-affected communities.
- Work within a stepped care framework in collaboration with general practitioners, allied health professionals, schools, public mental health services, and private psychologists and psychiatrists.

- Target vulnerable population groups across the region.
