What you will do as the Secretariat Officer
As a Member Of The Secretariat Team, You Will Provide a High Standard Of Administrative Support To The Commission And Its Committees And Contribute To Improvements In Governance Processes. As The Secretariat Officer, You Will- Provide secretariat services for a number of ACCC Committees, including specific tasks such as coordinating and scheduling, finalising agendas, finalising minutes and monitoring and updating action item registers.
- Compile papers for submission to ACCC Committees, including ensuring papers comply with the organisation's style guide, and timely distribution of submissions to committee members.
- Support Commissioners and senior executives to ensure meetings are run effectively and that decisions are accurately recorded.
- Assist team members within the Executive Office with other tasks required to support the branch and organisation.
In order to succeed in the role, you will have:- Relevant work experience in a secretariat, governance or administration role.
- A demonstrated ability to effectively:
- Plan, organise and prioritise competing work tasks in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Show strong attention to detail.
- Communicate simply, clearly and effectively in different mediums.
- Engage and work collaboratively with other people.
- Apply sound judgement, and problem solving skills, with the ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures.
- Use a range of office technologies and computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as records management systems and databases.

Salary: APS5 $89,946 - $95,374 (plus 15.4% superannuation)
