Child and Youth Mental Health Community Clinician - Lower North Shore (St Leonards). Temporary Full Time until 30 August 2026.
What You'll Be DoingCYMHS Clinicians are required to manage a complex caseload with presentations from 0-17 years old from a variety of psycho-social backgrounds. Evidence-based treatment modalities include client-centred psychotherapies and family-focused therapies such as Attachment Based Family Therapy, CBT and DBT. There is a requirement to conduct extensive networking with services such as the education department and local schools, the GP and other private, government and non-government services. The multi-disciplinary team approach provides a supportive environment given the demand and acuity of presentations.

LocationSt Leonards in the RNS CHC
Requirements- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing and registration with AHPRA or membership with AASW for Social Workers. Clinical Psychologists must have a minimum postgraduate Masters or higher in Clinical Psychology. For Social Work, experience as a Level 2 clinician. Occupational Therapist must have experience as a Level 2 clinician. Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 must have relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification or equivalent experience.
- Relevant clinical mental health experience in a community setting which includes working with children and/or adolescents and their families.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the assessment, formulation and treatment of infant, child and adolescent mental health problems and family relationship problems.
