About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Systems Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure services, Windows Server, and related Microsoft technologies. You will play a key role in supporting, maintaining, and optimising our clients' hybrid infrastructure environments across both cloud and on-premises platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, support, and maintain Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and Azure AD.

• Deploy, configure, and manage Azure IaaS and PaaS resources (e.g., virtual machines, storage, networking, backups).

• Implement and manage policies in Microsoft Endpoint Manager / Intune for device compliance and security.

• Monitor and troubleshoot system issues across hybrid environments (on-prem and Azure cloud).

• Maintain and support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server environments.

• Assist in patch management and OS/software deployment across endpoints.

• Support Microsoft licensing, user provisioning, and identity lifecycle tasks.

• Document system configurations, changes, and procedures.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver infrastructure projects and support engagements.

• Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and incident response activities.

• Strong experience in a systems engineering or IT support role focused on Microsoft technologies.

• Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Azure AD).

• Practical experience deploying and supporting Azure infrastructure services (IaaS/PaaS).

• Familiarity with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, and Group Policy.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), Autopilot, and Conditional Access policies.

• PowerShell scripting skills for automation and administrative tasks.

• Solid troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

• Good understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

• Microsoft certifications (e.g. AZ-104, MS-700, MS-102, or equivalent).

• Experience with Azure AD Connect and hybrid identity environments.

• Exposure to Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Purview, or compliance/security solutions.

• Understanding of backup and disaster recovery strategies in cloud and on-prem environments.

• Experience in a technical consulting or project delivery role.

• knowledge of Linux systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, or RHEL) is a plus.
