The Community You Will JoinThe Chief Business Officer organization drives Airbnb's growth and expansion worldwide, commercialising new and existing businesses, and expanding Airbnb's global supply of high-quality stays, Experiences, and services. This team leads in-market strategy, supply quality, and international expansion to facilitate millions more host and guest connections.
The Difference You Will MakeAs a Senior Market Manager, you will be responsible for the supply health and growth of our core and entrepreneur host segment across Australia & New Zealand. You will manage a team of customer-facing market associates and deliver scalable host growth and success programs across the region. You will collaborate with regional and cross-functional teams to build Airbnb's market presence for our core and small host segment, drive all phases of supply acquisition and retention, and develop, generate, and convert supply leads for long-term success on Airbnb.
You will develop and iterate scalable localized supply management strategies for both developed and competitive markets, as well as nascent and untapped new markets, to ensure long-term market success.
A Typical Day- Manage, coach and develop a high-performing team of customer-facing market associates.
- Develop and scale strategies to effectively manage and optimise the long-tail host segment.
- Build and manage partner relationships within assigned Host accounts, developing strong, long-lasting partnerships.
- Build data-driven recommendations to identify high-impact opportunities for supply growth and retention.
- Demonstrate the ability to handle operational complexity and maximise the impact of resources.
- Develop deep knowledge of assigned geographic markets and become the go-to source for local trends and market dynamics for internal and external partners.
- Maintain an understanding of the technical integration of software partners to provide appropriate support to clients.
- Represent Airbnb in external meetings and events with Core Hosts in your market.
- Educate hosts on product changes and cascade feedback on product and policy to relevant internal stakeholders.
- Hold regular optimization calls and business reviews with partners.
- Respond to and deliver exceptional service to Core Hosts, occasionally traveling to provide in-person support and guidance.
- Support host community programs in your region.
- Work cross-functionally with product, communications, public policy, and customer support teams to ensure long-term market success.
- 8+ years of experience in partnership, sales, program and account management.
- 3+ years of travel, technology, hospitality or marketplace industry experience.
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively with hosts via phone, email, meet-up, and in-person.
- Highly proficient quantitative skills and proven ability to interpret data and formulate actionable insights.
- Highly proficient in using CRM software, with Salesforce experience a plus.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines, adjust to changes in priorities, and balance short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives; able to travel to assigned markets.
- Passion for Airbnb, travel, and the sharing economy; being an Airbnb host is a plus.
- Proven experience working cross-functionally.
- Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels with a track record of execution in ambiguous environments.
- Charismatic self-starter who is resourceful and self-sufficient.
- Fluency in English.
