Job Description

Cappagh Contractors is seeking a proactive and customer-centric Non-Household Key Account Officer to support the delivery of Lot B Smart Metering for the Portsmouth Water AMP8

framework. This is a vital role in managing relationships with key commercial and industrial customers, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Are you a customer-focused professional who thrives on safety, logistics, and delivering quality? We are looking for a Non-Household Key Account Officer to join the Lot B Smart Metering team on the Portsmouth Water AMP8 Framework.

You'll manage relationships with our key commercial and industrial clients, making sure every smart meter installation is safe, efficient, and tailored to customer needs. You'll also use data-

driven insights to drive performance and champion quality standards. If you excel in communication, build trusted relationships, and have a keen eye for safety, process, and detail, we'd love to hear from you.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for non-household clients throughout the smart metering programme.
  • Champion safety by ensuring all works comply with legislation, company policies, and best practice.
  • Monitor and report on project logistics, ensuring installations are planned and executed with minimal disruption to customer operations.
  • Collect, analyse, and report data on project performance, utilising insights to drive improvements and inform decision-making.
  • Resolve customer issues swiftly and professionally, putting their needs at the centre of every project.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure seamless delivery and high standards of work.
  • Prepare regular performance and quality reports for internal and client review.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in account management, customer service, or stakeholder engagement within utilities, engineering, or infrastructure.
  • Demonstrable commitment to safety and operational excellence.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills; confident working with data and reporting tools.
  • Ability to prioritise customer needs while ensuring project logistics and quality requirements are met.

Relevant qualifications or training in a business, engineering, or customer service discipline preferred.
