Responsibilities

As a Senior Educator at Goodstart, you'll take charge of your own room, leading a team of dedicated Educators to deliver exceptional educational programs. You'll collaborate with the Centre Leadership Team and the Educational Leader to observe, inform, and continuously improve our teaching practices. Your commitment to safety and inclusivity ensures that every learning experience is tailored to meet the needs of all children.

About Goodstart Manunda

We are a small, centrally located childcare centre with a capacity for 68 children, just a 5-minute drive from Cairns city. Our prime location also puts us within walking distance of schools, TAFE, and local shops. Our team is a rich tapestry of cultural diversity, with Educators hailing from India, China, Korea, Italy, and Australia, including valued First Nations staff. Many of our team members have been with us for over three years, reflecting the strong community and supportive environment we cultivate.

We offer robust support for Trainees and Educators who are continuing their studies, thanks to our high percentage of Diploma-qualified staff who serve as mentors. Additionally, we have a permanent pool of relief Educators to assist with leave and provide time off the floor.

You'll need

• Diploma in Early Childhood (or ACECQA approved equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
• Current Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
