Role

This is no ordinary coordinator role. It's an opportunity to lead a diverse and high-profile service portfolio in local government, spanning:

  • Animal Shelter – ensuring best practice animal welfare and strong volunteer partnerships
  • Sale Yards (SRLX) – a cornerstone of the regional agricultural economy
  • Swimming Pools – vital community recreation and safety hubs
  • Outside School Hours Care – trusted services for local families and children

With leadership of up to 60 staff and volunteers, and multiple service-based contracts, this role requires a confident, operational leader who can navigate complexity and deliver results.

Your challenge

As Coordinator Business Services You Will
  • Drive performance uplift – building team capability, culture, and accountability.
  • Deliver service improvements – modernising systems and processes to ensure efficiency, safety, and customer focus.
  • Lead through complexity – balancing community expectations, financial sustainability, and regulatory compliance across four very different business units.
  • Influence and partner – working closely with contractors, volunteers, community groups, and government agencies.
  • Embed cultural change – strengthening engagement and collaboration in line with Council's cultural framework.

This is a role for someone who thrives on challenge and can deliver lasting impact across people, services, and community outcomes.

What You'll Bring
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business or related discipline.
  • Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams in a complex operational environment.
  • Strong financial, compliance, and risk management experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and partner.
  • A track record in leading cultural and performance improvement.
  • NSW Driver's Licence, WWCC, and ability to obtain a National Police Check.

Why this role?
  • Scale & variety – few roles offer leadership across such a diverse, high-impact portfolio.
  • Challenge & growth – take ownership of improvement and transformation, not just business-as-usual.
  • Attractive package – $121K–$141K + 12% super + variable day off every 19 days.
  • Flexibility – hybrid working options and a family-friendly organisation.
  • Development – leadership stretch, ongoing learning, and tertiary assistance.
