Accounts Payable Officer

  • $40 - $45/ph + super | Sydney CBD, 2000 | Flexibility WFH | Temp to Perm

We're seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to take ownership of the AP function within a fast-growing, internationally recognised organisation.

What you'll be doing:

  • Manage the Accounts Payable inbox, ensuring every supplier invoice is received, logged, and directed for swift processing.
  • Schedule, prepare, and reconcile weekly payments to both domestic and overseas vendors.
  • Conduct monthly statement reconciliations with suppliers, investigating and resolving discrepancies without delay.
  • Champion process improvements by introducing automation to minimise manual tasks and shorten payment cycles.
  • Create AP journals and accrual entries to support an accurate month-end close.
  • Assist with intercompany accounts, including reconciliations and cross-charges.

What we're looking for:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable function.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems-NetSuite experience is a big plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent reconciliation skills, and confidence managing supplier relationships.
  • The ability to work at pace, managing competing deadlines in a growing business.
  • A collaborative approach and clear communication skills that resonate with both finance and operational teams.
