Advertising Council Australia is looking for an Events and Sponsorship Coordinator to help with the administration of ACA programs including, but not limited to, The AWARD Awards, the Effie Awards and This Way Up creative festival in a 5-month contract role.
The role
The position will assist the events, marketing and sponsorship teams on key industry events and programs.
Your responsibilities
Awards and events:
- Assist with entry processing and administration.
- Assist with judging activities and associated judging events.
- Coordinate ticketing/bookings and database management for award ceremonies and other ACA events.
- Coordinate and update all event information on the ACA websites and CRM systems.
- Assist with marketing collateral and activities as required.
- General event administration assistance including booking venues, catering, putting together invite lists etc.
Sponsorship:
- Liaise with / be a point of contact for ACA partners and ensure relevant project leads are aware of sponsor requirements.
- Organise and coordinate sponsor meetings and briefings.
- Allocation of sponsor comp tickets to all ACA events.
- Keep all sponsor tracking documents up to date ensuring all deliverables are being met.
- Ensure all ACA marketing materials, websites, and on-screen content have correct sponsor recognition and liaise with relevant project leads to ensure any sponsor approvals required are received.
- Act as a point of contact at ACA events to ensure sponsors feel valued and are briefed on any roles they may have throughout the event.
Required skills and experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a similar position (event administration/sponsorship roles).
- Experience using Microsoft Office - Excel, Word etc. as well as experience in using Google platforms (Google Drive / Google Slides/ Google Sheets / Google Docs etc.).
- Knowledge and familiarity using online databases, updating websites and CRM systems.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain a positive can-do attitude as well as the ability to take initiative and problem-solve.
- High-level communication skills (both written and verbal) and high-level attention to detail.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
- Willingness to work outside of normal business hours if required (this role may require some attendance at evening events).
