Overview

Join to apply for the Care Worker - VIC West - Experienced role at Silverchain Group. We are looking for a Cert III qualified person with at least 6 months of experience in a similar role to join the Silverchain team in the Bacchus Marsh, VIC 3340 area.

In Addition, You Will Need
  • A valid Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle
  • Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support or Disability
  • Experience of 6 months or more in a similar role, with experience in personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications
The Role

As a Care Worker you will provide home help services such as general housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation, as well as personal care services including getting clients out of bed, showering, dressing, assisting with medications, mobility and therapy goals, and providing social and emotional support. You may also transport clients to lifestyle activities or appointments and support family carers.

  • General housekeeping and making beds
  • Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors
  • Washing, folding and ironing laundry
  • Meal preparation and grocery shopping
  • Getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed
  • Assisting clients to take medications
  • Assisting with mobility and therapy goals
  • Providing complex care for clients with high care needs, such as dementia
  • Providing social and emotional support
  • Providing transport to activities or appointments
  • Supporting the family carer to take a break
