Vectiq is seekinga Lead Security Advisor / AI Delivery Manager to work within a Federal Government department. This role is ideal for professionals with expertise in artificial intelligence, cyber security, and stakeholder engagement who are passionate about strengthening Australia's cyber resilience.

Key Details:

  • 12-month contract with two 12-month extension options
  • Canberra-based (hybrid)
  • NV1 or higher security clearance required

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and delivery of AI-driven cyber defence strategies
  • Integrate machine learning into enterprise cyber security systems
  • Provide advice on AI ethics, governance, and risk frameworks
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear strategic insights for senior leaders
  • Represent the agency in inter-agency forums on AI and cyber security

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience applying AI/ML in cyber security environments
  • Strong knowledge of threat intelligence, intrusion detection, and incident response
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Programming expertise in Python, R or Java with AI/ML tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch or Scikit-learn
  • Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH) are highly regarded
