Position Overview:

We're looking for a Delivery Manager who can lead the successful delivery of digital projects in complex environments - often government, always purpose-driven.

You'll be the go-to person for keeping digital transformation and delivery on track, effectively managing scope, timeframes, budgets and risks while creating a supportive environment for your teams and stakeholders. You'll ensure digital projects are executed smoothly from conception through to the delivery of engaging solutions that are a joy to use.

You'll work closely with our design, research and technical teams to plan and run delivery, set up good governance and make sure the work stays aligned to user needs and client goals. You'll build strong relationships with our clients, helping them navigate ambiguity and make decisions with confidence. Depending on project team size, you might also need to get hands-on to jump in and help the team complete deliverables or deliver user stories as our business grows.

Responsibilities:

·Lead end-to-end delivery of digital transformation projects across a range of clients, from discovery to implementation and ongoing support

·Flexibly manage priorities and competing deadlines, including managing multiple smaller projects or individual large projects

·Champion users by embedding user empathy and evidence-based decision making into every stage of delivery

·Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, issues, decisions and dependencies

·Keep teams aligned, engaged and unblocked through planning, standups, retros and check-ins

·Support clients to prioritise work, respond to change and make evidence-based decisions

·Provide clear and timely reporting across teams and stakeholders

·Support the team in delivery activities as needed, potentially including business analysis, service design, user research or other activities to deliver project outcomes

·Contribute to strategy, platform recommendations, and digital best practices

·Present delivery solutions to potential and current clients in a clear, compelling, trustworthy and engaging way

·Contribute to proposals, planning, onboarding of new projects and project extensions

·Mentor junior team members and help us build strong delivery capability across the business

You are / have:

·Excellent knowledge of agile and program management methodology and techniques, such as Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, PRINCE2 or MSP

·Strong understanding of digital production processes (web, apps, content, etc)

·Deep experience working in the public sector, either as a public servant or working for a supplier to government

·Confidence working with multidisciplinary teams across design, research and development

·Capable of taking responsibility for building and leading high-performing teams

·Clear, calm communication skills and strong emotional intelligence

·Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Office365 apps and Miro

·Related experience in either start-ups, consulting, or digital agencies is a huge plus

Preferred

·Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., Drupal, WordPress, Astro, DatoCMS)

·Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS, Google Analytics, or SEO
