About the Role
The Experiences and Partnerships teamis seeking a Cultural Heritage Program Lead to champion the city's historicaland cultural legacy. This role will manage the Cultural Heritage team and leadthe development of heritage programs, including the Civic Archive, digitisationinitiatives, exhibitions, and interpretive signage. The primary purpose of thisrole is to:
·Overseethe ongoing development and operation of the Civic Archive and associateddigitisation program for heritage records.
·Supportthe Cultural Heritage Advisory Committee and convene the Civic CollectionAcquisition and Deaccession Working Group.
·Overseethe design and delivery of key projects, and programs that deliver historicaland cultural heritage information to the community.
About you
We're seeking someone who is deeplypassionate about cultural heritage and eager to shape how our communityconnects with its history. You'll bring relevant experience and qualificationsin cultural heritage, museum studies, or a related field, along with a strongfoundation in heritage research and project management. The ideal candidate iscollaborative, community-focused, and skilled at building meaningful engagementwith diverse stakeholders. You maybe required to undertake practical testing, work preference profiling / psychometrictesting, functional capacity assessment (physical) or aptitude testing.
The successful candidate will be asked to produce a clear Workingwith Children Check and will be asked to consent to a national police check (and where relevant an'international criminal history check'), subject to the operation of spentconviction laws.
