Lead programs, archives & exhibitions as our new Cultural Heritage Program Lead.Oversee the ongoing development and operation of the Civic Archive and associated digitisation program for heritage records.Support the Cultural Heritage Advisory Committee and convene the Civic Collection Acquisition and Deaccession Working Group.Oversee the design and delivery of key projects, and programs that deliver historical and cultural heritage information to the community.Located 35km to the southeast of Melbourne, Greater Dandenong City Council covers 129 square kilometres and has a population of over 169,000 people.
The central activities district is Melbourne's second largest retail and commercial centre and includes large shopping complexes at Dandenong and Keysborough as well as the highly popular Dandenong Market.Greater Dandenong City Council is the most culturally diverse locality in Australia, with residents from over 150 different birthplaces, nearly two-thirds of whom were born overseas.

This role will manage the Cultural Heritage team and lead the development of heritage programs, including the Civic Archive, digitisation initiatives, exhibitions, and interpretive signage.
The primary purpose of this role is to :Oversee the ongoing development and operation of the Civic Archive and associated digitisation program for heritage records.Support the Cultural Heritage Advisory Committee and convene the Civic Collection Acquisition and Deaccession Working Group.Oversee the design and delivery of key projects, and programs that deliver historical and cultural heritage information to the community.About youWe're seeking someone who is deeply passionate about cultural heritage and eager to shape how our community connects with its history.
You'll bring relevant experience and qualifications in cultural heritage, museum studies, or a related field, along with a strong foundation in heritage research and project management.
The ideal candidate is collaborative, community-focused, and skilled at building meaningful engagement with diverse stakeholders.
