About the Role

This senior executive role (SAES2 classification) offers a unique opportunity to lead the Commercial and Procurement Branch and influence how the South Australian Government approaches complex commercial matters. You\'ll provide inspiring leadership while delivering well-researched, clear advice on diverse commercial and procurement matters to the Treasurer, Cabinet, and key stakeholders.

As Chief Commercial Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping South Australia's commercial and procurement outcomes. Leading strategic, whole-of-government initiatives, you will drive the development of robust approaches that enable high-quality commercial and procurement outcomes across government. You\'ll lead strategic whole-of-government commercial projects, manage complex transactions, and advise on major infrastructure decisions, balancing risk, value for money and the long-term interests of the state.

About You

It is essential that you have a deep understanding of government processes and exceptional stakeholder engagement skills. You will have proven experience providing high-quality leadership to large organisations, experience leading complex transactions and procurements, and track record of delivering insightful, proactive forward thinking commercial advice that drives strong outcomes.
