About the Role

This senior executive role (SAES2 classification) offers a unique opportunity to lead the Commercial and Procurement Branch and influence how the South Australian Government approaches complex commercial matters. You\'ll provide inspiring leadership while delivering well-researched, clear advice on diverse commercial and procurement matters to the Treasurer, Cabinet, and key stakeholders.

Chief Commercial Officer responsibilities include: leading strategic, whole-of-government commercial projects; managing complex transactions; advising on major infrastructure decisions; balancing risk, value for money and the long-term interests of the state; and driving development of robust approaches to enable high-quality commercial and procurement outcomes across government.

About You

It is essential that you have a deep understanding of government processes and exceptional stakeholder engagement skills. You will have proven experience providing high-quality leadership to large organisations, experience leading complex transactions and procurements, and a track record of delivering insightful, proactive forward-thinking commercial advice that drives strong outcomes.
