The Role

Reporting into the Group Financial Controller, the Finance Accounting Manager purpose is to provide accurate financial support to the business. The position will be hands-on in nature ensuring best practice, driving process improvements, and contributing to the strategic direction of the business from financial perspective.

This role is on a contract basis through to December 2025

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the preparation of half year and annual statutory accounts, including project manage and coordinate the Group audit process
• Assist with the Group consolidation for statutory accounting purposes, including but not limited to, eliminations, equity, detailed consolidation of PPE, intangibles and tax
• Drafting of technical accounting policies to cover various topics applicable to CFL
• Responsible for application of new accounting standards, including leading the implementation of the standard
• Lead the accounting treatment process of ad hoc or new transaction types
• Lead the preparation of audit and compliance related documents
• Support the preparation of board and ARC reporting and any additional related documents as required
• Contribute to Group-wide accounting policies
• Managing multiple priorities and delivering continuous process improvements
• Assisting in ad-hoc projects related to financial reporting
• Assist when required with the month-end procedures and support the Finance Manager during leave

About YouSkills & Experience

• Strong report writing and presentation skills
• Advanced experience in the creation and delivery of technical accounting papers
• Demonstrated experience in foreign operations and multi-currency consolidation
• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Australian Accounting Standards (AASB's)
• Advanced MS Office skills, predominantly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Advanced experience with an ERP system (JD Edwards)
• Advanced analytical, problem solving and critical reasoning skills
