  • Location - South Hurstville
  • Permanent Part Time - 22.5 hours per fortnight
  • Pay rate – $33.32 - $43.58 per hour + superannuation

Reporting directly to the Residential Manager a t St Bede's , yo u will be delivering pastoral care services for our residents and clients, ensuring they have choice in maintaining their cultural and spiritual wellbeing.

About the Role:

  • Providing personal spiritual support and Pastoral care services to residents and clients in line with their preferences and Catholic Healthcare's Mission
  • Supporting mission formation activities for employees within the residential aged care home
  • Working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures

To be successful in this role you'll need

  • Cert III or Cert IV in Pastoral Care or similar qualifications in theology or spirituality
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith, particularly as it relates to the dignity of life and aged care
  • Commitment to supporting the pastoral/spiritual care needs of the sick and elderly and their family members
  • Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs of residents
  • Able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
