Overview

This role provides customer-focused administrative, procurement, financial, and contract management support to the Contracts team within Networks and Infrastructure. Working closely with the Team Lead Contracts Administration, the position assists in the administration of project-related contracts, including coding, invoicing, logistics, and the preparation of correspondence using established templates and standards. The role also monitors contract progress, timelines, and values, while supporting the preparation of purchase orders and contract variations. In addition, the position supports financial processes by tracking expenditure against budgets, processing payments, and managing requirements such as Project Bank Accounts and Bank Guarantees. It contributes to project delivery by providing contract administration and project officer support, coordinating contractor performance evaluations, and preparing reports for the Procurement Branch. With a strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration, this role plays a vital part in ensuring effective contract and project outcomes across the division.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in administration of project-related contracts, including coding, invoicing, logistics, and correspondence using established templates and standards.
  • Monitor contract progress, timelines, and values; assist in preparation of purchase orders and contract variations.
  • Support financial processes by tracking expenditure against budgets, processing payments, and managing requirements such as Project Bank Accounts and Bank Guarantees.
  • Provide contract administration and project officer support to contribute to project delivery.
  • Coordinate contractor performance evaluations and prepare reports for the Procurement Branch.
  • Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration to support effective contract and project outcomes across the division.
Qualifications
  • Strong experience in contract administration, procurement, and financial practices within the State Public Sector.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Good organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing demands, meet deadlines, and drive improvements.
  • Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems.

There is one permanent full-time opportunity available for an immediate start. This is a pool recruitment process where suitable applicants will be placed in a pool for 12 months. Applicants assessed as suitable may be used to fill similar vacancies (fixed term or permanent) that may arise.
