Overview

Our client is within the Education sector and are looking for a Business Analyst who ideally has experience working on software development projects focusing on Accounting/Finance systems software. A BA who ideally has worked on a project where they developed/built OR configured modules within an Accounting/Finance Systems.

We are looking for someone who can start immediately as there are tight deadlines and someone who can hit the ground running. The role is based in Sydney CBD with a hybrid working model.

You will ideally need to have worked on a software development project, on an existing Accounting/Finance system where they have developed/built or configured new modules within that. You may have experience with small and enterprise organisations, but ultimately you will be the sole BA on this project and leading from the front.

Responsibilities
  • Translate complex technical requirements into clear, non-technical language.
  • Be involved in the SIT/UAT phase.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and consultancy groups to produce documentation.
  • Produce high-quality documentation.
  • Elaborate and refine defined business requirements into functional specifications.
  • Document and consult with relevant stakeholders to identify capabilities needed and ensure the new system meets criteria.
  • Document designs to a level sufficient for future maintenance or support.
  • Rapidly acquire working knowledge of the customer"s internal line-of-business systems.
To be suitable you will need
  • Experience working as a Business Analyst on software development projects within Accounting/Finance Systems.
  • Experience working in small teams and being able to manage the BA function as the lone BA.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and ideally a technical background.
  • Willingness to be in the office and build strong relationships with the team as opposed to only working remotely.
