The Opportunity

Maven Partners are partnered with a number of leading professional services firms seeking a Manager to join their Accounting Advisory teams in Sydney. This service offering provides a broad range of services from finance transformation and reporting tool implementations through to financial reporting and technical accounting advisory. These roles offer the opportunity to deliver impactful client projects, work directly with Managers and Partners, and help shape the development of growing teams.

The positions provide extensive client contact, covering the scoping and delivery of projects that demand a high level of advisory input, and gives you the chance to expand both your accounting and technology skillsets as they apply to finance functions.

Base pay range

A$130,000.00/yr - A$150,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver projects in conjunction with other engagement team members ensuring delivery in line with client expectations, timelines and budget
  • Develop self and team through coaching and client experiences to help grow the wider groups' technical and client interaction capabilities
  • Demonstrate strong project management capabilities, report writing, technology and client relationship skills in delivering projects
  • Support business development initiatives including development of new products, contributing to thought leadership and proposals
  • Assist with management and co-ordination of the CFO Advisory Services team including but not limited to resourcing, training, recruitment and development of internal relationships
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in accounting, commerce or finance.
  • CA qualified or equivalent (or substantially complete).
  • 3+ years' experience in professional services, commerce, or a mix of both.
  • Experience across accounting advisory, finance transformation, reporting tools automation, financial reporting, management accounting, project management and/or audit.
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills.
  • Experience with Power BI, Alteryx, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, and other ERP systems.
  • Exposure to lease accounting, treasury accounting, and other complex accounting topics.
