Overview

Psychologist role at Healthscope

Part-time Psychologist Grade 2 (Maternity Cover). 2 days per week to commence in September 2025. Special interest in Pain and Health preferred. Opportunity for board-approved endorsement supervision (Clinical or Health).

Are you looking to join an experienced multidisciplinary rehabilitation team? This is an ideal position for an experienced Psychologist to work with a varied rehabilitation case-mix supporting patients with persistent pain, adjustment disorders, PTSD/ASD, anxiety disorders, and depression to achieve their rehabilitation goals.

This role is based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and provides the chance to work across outpatient and inpatient services within Healthscope's rehabilitation network. As one of the largest private rehabilitation facilities in Australia, The Victorian Rehabilitation Centre has a reputation for high quality and patient-focused care, servicing both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs.

In This Role You Will Be Required To
  • Work across both outpatient and inpatient services, providing timely, evidence-based, individual and group interventions
  • Be actively involved in the review/development of programs and service improvement projects
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience working in a rehabilitation or hospital setting
  • Working knowledge of compensable insurance systems
Selection Criteria
  • Full registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA
  • Masters or Doctoral degree in Psychology
  • Exceptional time management skills and a high degree of flexibility
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Experience in providing individual therapy and preferably also in running groups
  • Experience in delivery of CBT and/or ACT based interventions
