Orontide is a leading Western Australian company providing specialist engineering, fabrication, preservation, and integrity maintenance services to the Oil & Gas, Mining, Naval Defence, Marine, and Commercial Industries.
As a result of the company's continued growth, we are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Workshop Supervisor to join our Henderson-based Engineering Workshop.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Workshop Manager, your primary responsibility will be to lead and supervise a skilled team within our Fabrication, Mechanical, and Tiling workshops.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Complete jobs that meet or exceed client quality requirements and are produced on time and on budget.
- Develop a skilled team working collaboratively to achieve outputs.
- Provide accurate quotations.
- Ensure Safety, Environmental, and Quality compliance.
- Produce Manufacturer's Data Reports (MDRs) and other supporting materials.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills.
- Seek continuous improvement ideas.
To be successful in this position, you must possess the following:
- Relevant Australian recognized trade qualification, such as Boilermaker/Welder or Fitter/Machinist, with fabrication knowledge.
- Well-developed communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Proven ability to complete quality work safely, on time, and within budget.
- Reliability in planning, reporting, and ensuring compliance with commitments and obligations.
- Leadership in Health and Safety practices.
