About the Role
We are seeking a Team Leader Field Sales NSW/ACT to coach, mentor, and lead a high-performing field sales team. In this pivotal role, you'll be responsible for guiding our Territory Managers (TMs) to drive distribution, increase in-store presence, and grow sales across your assigned territory.
This is a dynamic leadership role for someone who thrives in the field, has a strong commercial mindset, and is passionate about people development, customer engagement, and sales performance. You'll work closely with our iconic brands and lead initiatives that deliver growth while nurturing a strong team culture.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead TMs to drive in-store range, visibility, and promotional execution in line with SACO strategies.
• Deliver core range and new product distribution goals across all key customers.
• Use Salesforce to identify and capitalise on sales opportunities through insights, compliance tracking, and gap reporting.
• Negotiate in-store displays and off-location features for maximum impact.
• Present and Negotiate with Multi Site Operators (MSO's) on NPD, product placement, volume and promotional programs
Team Coaching & Development
• Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and development support to your team
• Model and embed a safety-first culture within your team.
Customer Relationship Management
• Guide TMs to build meaningful relationships with store managers through needs-based selling, solution offering, and objection handling.
• Drive call planning, pre-call preparation, and execution to deliver strong sales conversations.
Operational Excellence & Merchandising
• Oversee in-store compliance to planograms, promotional activity, stock levels, and product display standards.
• Ensure ticketing and POS materials are up-to-date and TMs proactively manage shelf presence and stock rotation.
What We're Looking For
• Proven experience in field sales leadership within the FMCG sector.
• Strong commercial and coaching capabilities, with a track record of team development and sales delivery.
• Solid analytical and planning skills, comfortable using systems like Salesforce for performance reporting.
• Confident communicator and influencer with the ability to drive in-store execution and develop customer partnerships.
• A good understanding and/or previous experience in the FMCG Independent sector working with MSO's preferably
• Self-motivated and passionate about building high-performing teams.
• A solutions-focused mindset with strong negotiation and objection-handling abilities.
• Highly organised with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
