Contract and Start48 Months Fixed Term Full Time, 9-day fortnight. The position will commence in February 2026.
What You'll Do- Under close supervision from industry professionals, undertake a competency-based apprenticeship to develop a range of skills in small engines through formal and on-the-job learning activities, completing a Certificate III in Outdoor Power Equipment Technology at TAFE North Queensland.
- Develop practical skills and knowledge to undertake repair and servicing of electrical and mechanical outdoor power equipment including lawn mowers, chainsaws, brush cutters, pumps, generators, and other equipment.
- Identify components of small engines, perform daily maintenance, and carry out safe refuelling and pre-start checks.
- Willingness to be part of, and promote, a positive safety culture whilst adhering to all Health and Safety policies and procedures. Minimum completed Year 10 with passes in English and Mathematics.
- Minimum of Queensland C class provisional driver's licence (or ability to obtain).
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Sound computer skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Willingness to undertake the requirements to successfully complete the associated qualification.
