The role provides support to the Assistant Superintendent Security, and involves evaluating, monitoring and reporting on security technology, and making recommendations on security issues to support the security team in achieving Departmental goals related to procedural, physical and dynamic security responsibilities.

In line with the Use of Force Custodial Operations Policy and Procedures (COPP), this position coordinates the Centre's internal Use of Force review process, ensures reviews are conducted within allocated timeframes, and that recommendations are identified and implemented accordingly.

Location: Banksia Hill Detention Centre. Salary: Level 6, $120,457 – $132,753 p.a. plus 12% Super PSCSAA 2024. Work type: Fixed Term - Full Time. Closing date: 2025-09-08 4:30 PM. Attachments: Applicant Information Pack.pdf. Pool Ref: 232045.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the Centre's internal Use of Force review process and ensure reviews are conducted within allocated timeframes with recommendations identified and implemented.
  • Provide support to the Assistant Superintendent Security and evaluate, monitor, and report on security technology; make recommendations on security issues to support Departmental goals regarding procedural, physical and dynamic security.

Pool Recruitment

This pool will be open for a period of 12 months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes. Fixed term, full time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise; however, an appointment is not guaranteed.
