We're looking for a Cyber Security Coordinator with strong technical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work closely with both IT teams and business stakeholders.
This role supports our Cyber Security Strategy with a specific focus on vulnerability management using the Tenable platform.
What You'll Do Set up, manage, and monitor routine vulnerability scans for WA Police-developed applications Align all scans with Essential Eight Maturity Level 2 controls and timelines Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs)Troubleshoot scan issues and liaise with the Vulnerability Governance Team for smooth operations Translate complex technical findings into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders You'll Bring Solid hands-on experience with Tenable, CVE management, and scan configuration Experience in large enterprise environments (10,000+ users)Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills Ability to simplify and communicate technical risks to business users Strong problem-solving, facilitation, and negotiation abilities A collaborative, analytical, and detail-oriented mindset On-site role at CBD Perth — desk and equipment provided Work hours: Monday–Friday, 7am–5pm window (7.5 hours/day)Reporting to the Program Manager Documentation and reporting expectations will be agreed upon with WA Police If you're looking for a meaningful role where your technical expertise has real-world impact, this is it.
