Townsville, Queensland, Australia Noffs Foundation Full time
Overview

Type: Full-time 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Location: Townsville, North & Far North QLD
Remuneration: Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010 (Level 4) + full salary packaging options available up to $15,900 per annum

The Role: Noffs is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Case Manager as a vital part of our new service. This role will be based out of our Townsville premises; some Queensland-based, fly-in and fly-out (FIFO) services may be a requirement at times.

This new program is a multifaceted model designed to deliver intensive engagement, treatment, supervision, and assertive outreach aimed at reducing recidivism rates after detention. Intensive support services are provided for young people experiencing drug and alcohol issues during their time in detention, and these supports extend into the community for a further 12 months. Youth can access evidence-based counselling to help them reduce drug use, improve mental health, and decrease involvement in crime.

Responsibilities and duties include, but not limited to:

  • Delivering case management services for young people in the program.
  • Assessing each young person, developing Case Treatment Plans and supporting clients to achieve their goals.
  • Working closely with the team to coordinate the day-to-day implementation of client care plans.
  • Ensuring young people have representation and access to required services.
  • Arranging community networking for young people to encourage positive interactions in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Liaising effectively with referrers, service providers, key stakeholders, and/or family and carers to ensure the best service for our young people.
  • Committing to the principles of harm minimisation and to the aims of the Ted Noffs Foundation.
  • Maintaining accurate and up to date client records, statistics, and reports.
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to work with young people between the ages of 12 to 25 years old.
  • Minimum 2 years direct casework experience.
  • Experience in conducting clinical assessments and providing casework support.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both as a team member and as a practitioner with minimal supervision.
  • Strong personal and interpersonal boundaries.
  • Must hold and maintain a valid QLD Blue Card and Driver's Licence.

How to Apply: Submit your application via SEEK with a Resume and a Cover Letter addressing the selection criteria.

The Ted Noffs Foundation is committed to equal employment opportunity and embraces diversity and inclusion within its workforce. Applicants from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply, including First Nations People, People with Disability, Women and People from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds.

Interviews may be offered on application and will be conducted on a rolling basis. Please note only successful applicants will be contacted.
