Dawul Remote Community School (RCS) is seeking to establish a pool of Primary Teachers for fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period. The RoleThis role will suit someone who is relationship-focused and highly motivated to create exciting, culturally responsive learning experiences, igniting the desire to learn in students. We have two classes in this very small multi-age class of less than 10 students.
Suitable applicants will ideally possess outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with students, staff and the wider community. Experience and skills in evidence-based literacy teaching pedagogies is desirable. Experience of explicit targeted teaching/Explicit Instruction and experience in, or knowledge of, the Kimberley Schools Project (KSP) would be highly desirable. As a teacher in a KSP school, suitable applicants – if not already trained - must make a commitment to undergo the KSP delivered training provided, to ensure continuity of the Explicit Instruction teaching strategies that are embedded in our literacy program.
You will ideally be committed to Aboriginal Education with an ability to create an inclusive, supportive, and stimulating learning environment. You should ideally have a strong work ethic, be flexible and open to change and continuously strive to achieve. You should ideally engage in data-informed practice and ongoing self-reflection. You will also be committed to living and working in a remote location, with an understanding of the challenges of working remotely.

EligibilityTo work with us, you must:
- hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment
- apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start
- consent to and obtain a National Criminal History Check with the Department\'s Screening Unit
