They are seeking a motivated Finance Administrator to join their Newcastle Inner City Bypass Project Team.

The project involves 3.4kms of new four-lane divided road, interchanges at Newcastle Road, Lookout Road and the John Hunter Hospital precinct, plus upgrades to connecting roads, a pedestrian bridge, and an underpass.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing weekly payment run batches.
  • Processing site and delivery dockets
  • Purchase orders
  • Supplier invoices
  • Assisting with budget allocation and reviewing spend against procurement strategy.
  • Ensuring actuals are accurately recorded in the monthly ledgers.
  • Preparing and maintaining financial reports.
  • Managing office and equipment registers.

About You:

  • You are proactive, organised, and thrive in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Contribute to the smooth financial operation of this major infrastructure project.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in business/finance and prior experience in a similar role within a construction or project environment.
  • Experience with financial data entry in online systems (JD Edwards highly regarded).
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (intermediate level).
