Overview

HSE Specialist – Audit is a permanent, Perth-based role at Iluka Resources. The position offers flexible working arrangements. Location: Perth, Western Australia. The primary purpose is to provide governance and assurance for Health, Safety and Environment by auditing against Group documents, applicable legislation and investigation outcomes to meet internal and external HSE compliance. The role involves data generation, review, trend analysis and reporting on gaps identified. The role reports to the Group Health & Safety Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake site-based audits against Group documents, site documents and legislation
  • Undertake desktop audits against Group documents, site documents and legislation at a corporate level – whole of system auditing
  • Undertake audits of investigation actions
  • Provide assurance to Iluka on governance and auditing to validate compliance to the requirements in systems, legislation and investigations
  • Provide HSE performance reports for regular dissemination throughout workforce
  • Provide accurate data reports to the business to inform direction
Qualifications
  • Qualifications in Health, Safety or Environment
  • Formal auditing qualifications – Lead Auditor as a minimum
  • Good understanding and application of operational risk management
  • The ability to travel to various and remote locations is essential
  • Previous experience auditing HSE systems and programs
  • Operational experience in mining or heavy industry
