You will be measuring and delivering results, while staying in touch with the pace of innovation of the AWS technology and its use cases.

You will need to be technically capable and credible in your own right as well so that you can shape the customer and solutions-focused initiatives of your team. You will get to practice your creativity in driving the link of technology to tangible solutions and educating customers about the art of the possible. Central to this will be your leadership in driving Solutions Architects to create reference architectures for a variety of use cases.

The ideal candidate has experience building, leading and developing talented teams of senior engineers or solutions architects. Customer-facing experience is preferred, practical knowledge of the AWS platform is desired but not required, provided you have sound leadership skills and a strong technical foundation in secure, scalable and reliable IT architectures.

At Amazon you will be encouraged and rewarded for doing what is right for the long-term success of the customer. We value your passion to discover, invent and build on behalf of customers.

Key job responsibilities

  • In partnership with account management teams, formulate and execute a customer-focused strategy to drive adoption of AWS
  • Guide and prioritize the development of whitepapers, data sheets, and other high-value customer facing guidance and best practices
  • Own the technical strategy that will increase customer value and adoption of well-architected AWS solutions across Media and Entertainment customers.
  • Act as a conduit and liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support

To be successful in this role you need to be passionate about startups and cloud architectures. You are a builder with genuine curiosity about how technology can support your customers' business models and objectives. You are a lifetime learner that develops areas of depth in technical domains relevant to your interests and your customer's outcomes. You are prepared to work in a fast-paced environment, where you will be positively challenged and consistently embrace the Amazon Culture.

A day in the life

As an SA Manager, you'll develop and mentor a team of Solutions Architects, ensuring they have the technical expertise to guide startups through their cloud journey. You'll collaborate with Sales leaders to align people with business priorities that drive startup growth on AWS.

Your role involves partnering with stakeholders across AWS creating the right approaches to startup success. You'll coordinate with other SA teams throughout Australia on initiatives and sharing of best practices and ensuring consistent technical guidance.

When engaging with Media and Entertainment leaders, you'll understand their challenges and translate insights into actionable plans for your team.

By Overseeing reference architectures and technical content development, you'll foster innovation while delivering practical solutions that help startups scale efficiently on AWS.
