Due to continued growth, this dynamic privately owned business is seeking a Senior People and Culture Advisor to join their team. This newly created position offers a unique opportunity to build and implement HR strategies from the ground up, directly impacting the company's growth and success.

The Role:

As the sole HR resource for this dynamic SME, you will work closely with leadership to develop and maintain a robust HR infrastructure that supports business objectives and fosters a positive workplace culture. This role is ideal for a seasoned HR professional who thrives in an autonomous environment and is passionate about making a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement comprehensive HR systems and policies
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes and develop talent acquisition strategies
  • Ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation and industrial relations
  • Develop and implement performance management systems
  • Conduct remuneration reviews and manage employee benefits programs
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Possesses a minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior HR role, preferably within an SME environment
  • Construction industry experience will be well regarded
  • Demonstrates a proven track record in developing and implementing HR strategies and systems
  • Exhibits strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial relations
  • Shows proficiency in HRIS and HR analytics
  • Displays excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • AHRI certification is preferred
